Appearing on MSNBC Live With Stephanie Ruhle Monday morning, Princeton University professor and regular left-wing commentator for the cable channel Eddie Glaude slammed Trump administration plans to increase deportations of illegal immigrants as an “immoral” policy which revealed that “America traffics in cruelty.”

It took quite a journey to get there, but Showtime’s Our Cartoon President found a way to call a group of conservatives a "white-power rally" and President Trump the "Grand Wizard." Along the way, prominent conservatives in public life, like Ben Shapiro, were dragged into the fray.

This is "deplorables" on steroids. On her MSNBC show this morning, Joy Reid slurred Trump supporters as a bunch of sadists, saying that President Trump is treating people at the border with "cruelty" because "the base wants to see this."

Appearing on Friday’s CBS This Morning to analyze President Trump’s July 4th address, Face the Nation moderator Margaret Brennan thought it was “unusual” that the event was actually “unifying.” She also complained that Trump “overemphasized America’s military might” throughout the speech.

Appearing on MSNBC’s 9:00 a.m. ET hour on Friday, Daily Beast editor Christopher Dickey trashed President Trump’s Fourth of July event, labeling it a “delusional” speech that promoted “rabid nationalism.” Just for good measure, Dickey also threw in a quote from George Orwell warning about such attitudes treating human beings like “insects.”

On Friday's New Day show, as Alisyn Camerota interviewed Sister Norma Pimentel about the mental condition of illegal immigrant children who pass through her care at a shelter she runs after they are released from Border Patrol detention, the CNN host invited her guest to criticize fellow Christians who are allegedly "demonizing migrants."

A day after MSNBC’s Hardball host Chris Matthews and a band of like-minded lefties suggested that President Trump’s A Salute to America is un-American and an attempt to turn the country into the former Soviet Union, Matthews returned Wednesday to predict Trump supporters there will have Confederate flags (instead of American ones) and could cause violence on the National Mall.

During the 11:00 a.m. ET hour on Wednesday, MSNBC anchor Craig Melvin led a panel discussion in which one guest after another rushed to paint President Trump’s upcoming July 4th event on the national mall as a scene reminiscent of a Soviet-era May Day Parade in Moscow’s Red Square led by “a president who very much wants to be seen as a strong man.”

To any student of history, or anyone who ever took an American history class, the idea that the American flag with 13 stars was a symbol of racism and slavery was nonsense. But CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News bought into the accusation without even a second thought and even pushed the lunacy.
