MSNBC on Wednesday offered a mix of gloating and relief as journalists recapped Tuesday’s elections in Kentucky and Virginia. Correspondent Vaughn Hillyard seemed transported as he described the Democratic gubernatorial win in red Kentucky. Meanwhile, anchor Andrea Mitchell breezily explained that Ralph Northam, who got in trouble with a blackface scandal, has “moved past” the controversy. 

Launching a new interview series called Brunch With, on Wednesday’s 3rd Hour Today show, co-host Sheinelle Jones sat down for a meal with liberal activist Meena Harris, who just so happens to be the niece of California Senator and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris. Jones gushed that “activism is practically genetic” for her brunch pal.

One day, Hillary Clinton may break the glass ceiling and become the first woman to fail in three attempts at becoming president. Until then, America will have to make do with the pointers she gave to Dems trying to beat Trump in 2020 during a late night appearance with James Corden.

The View co-host Joy Behar defends Democrats to the bitter end, except it seems, if that Democrat believes Republicans should be treated with respect. Behar attacked Rep. Tulsi Gabbard when she came on the show Wednesday for daring to appear on “state TV” Fox News, as Behar put it, but Gabbard pushed back against Behar’s nasty attacks.

The New York Times sounded perturbed that the blue state of Washington was resisting a return to the old divisive days of “affirmative action.” An editor insisted on calling it “Unlikely resistance to a ballot measure in Washington State” in a text box, although it makes sense that Asian-Americans would resist affirmative action, having been successful as a group without such assistance. Joe Scarborough goes on a sneering rant, claiming President Trump's rally in Kentucky caused the incumbent Republican governor, Matt Bevin, to lose. Scarborough repeatedly refers to the president as "Donald," at one point calling him, "son."

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has announced that Twitter will no longer accept political advertising on his platform. “We’ve made the decision to stop all political advertising on Twitter globally. As an apparent sequel to their biased “My Big Idea” series, where they aided 2020 Democrats in pushing their liberal policy proposals to the public, NBC Nightly News kicked off a brand new series Tuesday dubbed “What Matters” where they only talk to Democratic voters and pitch their comments to Democratic candidates.

Every day, The Washington Post’s editorial page features the claim, “An independent newspaper.” The front page solemnly declares, “Democracy dies in darkness.” But, really, the paper should include this disclaimer: Official paper of the Democratic Party. That fact was reinforced on Tuesday as the paper offered its endorsements in the state of Virginia’s local elections. 

During his appearance on the 3rd Hour Today show on Tuesday, Late Night host and left-wing comedian Seth Meyers promoted his new Netflix stand-up special while being treated to fawning adulation from the anchors. The morning show cast went so far as to declare Meyers a “primary news source” for his liberal audience.
