Iowa Bans 'Telemed' Abortions
September 6th, 2013 3:22 PM
In another victory for life, the Iowa Board of Medicine voted today to ban so-called telemed abortions. Those are medical abortion procedures prescribed remotely often by the use of Internet teleconferencing software.
Daniel James Devine of World magazine has the story. Here's an excerpt (emphasis mine):
Michelle Goldberg Inadvertently Proves Conservative Point on Planned P
September 4th, 2013 12:50 PM
She probably doesn't realize it, but Michelle Goldberg just proved conservatives' point about Planned Parenthood: Donors from the private sector are more than capable to finance the abortion-providing non-profit group.
In her September 4 post, "Planned Parenthood's Rich Red-State Backers," a giddy Goldberg gushed that "Planned Parenthood has more friends in deep-red Texas than you might think…

August 29th, 2013 5:02 PM
"Things are looking pretty bleak in the world of abortion care" with "[a] wave of states" having been "disturbingly successful at shutting down abortion providers by passing medically unnecessary restrictions on clinics," abortion rights absolutist and Daily Beast contributor Amanda Marcotte lamented at the open of her August 29 Women in the World blog post.
But alas, there's a bright ray of…
Politico Plugs Michelle Nunn's 'Safe, Legal, Rare' Abortion Stance Inc
August 28th, 2013 11:17 PM
It would appear that Politico would prefer to see a Democrat win the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Saxby Chambliss. Otherwise, why would its Elizabeth Titus, in her coverage of Michelle Nunn on Monday, reference a statement by that party's candidate, Michelle Nunn, which articulates a position on abortion that is at odds with EMILY's List, the entity which gave her the reason to do a story…
Gosnell Protest: Babies' Bodies Might Be Held For 10 Years by Philly
August 28th, 2013 3:10 PM
The story isn't over for babies who suffered at the hands of abortionist Kermit Gosnell.
The Philadelphia Medical Examiner's Office could retain their bodies for up to 10 years. Protesters on August 26 again called attention to the babies murdered by Gosnell, and noted that city officials may take their time in disposing the bodies. Video Below

August 28th, 2013 1:40 PM
If Wendy Davis’ 11-hour filibuster to protect late-term abortion in the Lone Star State wasn’t proof enough of the Texas pro-abortion movement’s desperation, a new video game does the trick.
In “Choice: Texas,” designed by Carly Kocurek and Allyson Whipple and currently in development, players hunt for abortion access in Texas via the “choose-your-own-adventure” technique – and confront…
‘Duck Dynasty’ Star Blasts Abortion Culture: ‘What in the World
August 20th, 2013 8:17 PM
In a video featuring Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson, the TV star - in what appears to be a religious sermon - declares his pro-life stance on the issue of abortion. When discussing the ethics of, and that there's even a debate on, the issue, he asks, "What in the world happened to us?"
"Listen, from the time you started inside your mother's womb, Thomas Jefferson had it right, you have the…
Carly Fiorina: Only Canada, China, North Korea and U.S. Allow Abortion
August 18th, 2013 1:03 PM
In recent months, the liberal media have depicted Texas’s decision to ban non-medically necessitated abortions after 20 weeks as extreme as well as additional evidence of a Republican “war on women.”
On ABC’s This Week Sunday, former Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina refuted this claim pointing out that only four countries in the world allow abortions that late – Canada, China, North Korea,…
MSNBC Tells Women More Ignorance Is Better
August 16th, 2013 12:24 PM
MSNBC's latest panel on "women's rights," hosted by Alex Wagner, goes a long way in explaining why the network's ratings are so low. When Americans hear "MSNBC women's rights panel," they know what they're going to get before having to watch even two seconds of it. So why bother?
The drudgery and predictability here certainly expose the abortion movement's priorities. Take Anne Davis,…
MSNBC’s Wagner: Fetal Pain Argument About Taking Away Women’s Righ
August 15th, 2013 9:44 AM
Another MSNBC host, another rote regurgitation of liberal conventional wisdom. This time, it was Alex Wagner, announcing that arguments about fetal pain have nothing to do with the protection of the most vulnerable. Instead, they’re all about making it “harder and harder and harder” for women.
MSNBC host Alex Wagner introduced the segment on the “pseudo science” of fetal pain at 20 weeks on…
NYT Columnist: Pro-Life Legislation Promotes Violence Against Women
August 13th, 2013 3:52 PM
While NewsBusters really doesn’t target op-eds, especially ones that are printed in the New York Times, egregiously absurd arguments merit exposure and ridicule. Enter Frank Bruni's August 14 column, wherein the Times scribe discussed how our culture facilitates the objectification of women.
Curiously, Bruni buried longtime Democratic politician Bob Filner, who saw women as objects he could…
Hillary's Questionable Handling of Benghazi A Passing Thought For CBS
August 13th, 2013 12:58 PM
John Blackstone promoted Hillary Clinton's potential 2016 presidential run on Tuesday's CBS This Morning, and minimized the ongoing questions about her leadership before, during, and after the September 11, 2012 Islamist attack on the U.S. compound in Benghazi, Libya. For opposition, Blackstone merely noted that "a new ad, just released by the GOP, criticizes Clinton's handling of the terrorist…
Abortion -- It's Not Just For Women Anymore, Truthout Says
August 12th, 2013 1:00 PM
Here we are, kneedeep in a new century, and there are still people among us who think only women can end pregnancy through abortion.
Truth be told, I was one of those ignoramuses until I came across an exceedingly enlightened post at an aptly named left-wing site called Truthout.org.
MSNBC's Sharpton Touts Deceptive Claims of Pro-Life Groups 'Lying' to
August 9th, 2013 5:02 PM
On Thursday's PoliticsNation on MSNBC, host Al Sharpton touted the pro-abortion group NARAL's deceptive attacks on "crisis pregancy centers" in Virginia which try to encourage pregnant women not to have abortions, as NARAL accused these pro-life groups of "lying." Picking up on an article posted by the far left Think Progress, the MSNBC host gave NARAL President Ilyse Hogue a sympathetic forum to…
