NewsBusters Podcast: ABC's 'The View' Can't Tolerate an Opposing View

July 30th, 2025 10:05 PM

Not only is the cast of The View unanimously for Democrats, their guest list in 2025 has been unanimously liberal. Associate Editor Nick Fondacaro talks about his study numbers, and his line that The View stands for only one view.

As Nick told Brian Flood at Foxnews.com: "the title is more than a name. It’s how the show functions -- only one view."

From January through July, the ABC chat show welcome 102 liberal or Democrat guests -- and zero conservatives or Republicans. Some would say it's not shocking at all that there are no conservative guests. But the point is to prove the zero, or a 50-to-1 ratio. Make it a fact.

Leftists are extremely turf-conscious, and they want their outlets and programs to push their worldview with full force, no dissent allowed. This is why they're having a long freakout about the Colbert show getting canceled. So remember, these are the folks who say they're the people who love democracy the most. The ones who can't stand an opposing view.

"The closest they came was former California Governor and Harris 2024 voter Arnold Schwarzenegger on June 17’s show, who advocated for liberal ‘immigration reform,’" Fondacaro told Fox.

Schwarzenegger shared how grateful he was to be embraced by America and build a life here after emigrating from Austria. But on policy, he called for comprehensive immigration reform to bring in more foreign workers from south of the border, a policy position supported the liberal cast of The View. They only disagreed when Arnold said immigrants should come legally and show gratitude to their new country.

For a guest to be counted as either liberal or conservative, they needed to express such views during their appearance on The View. If a celebrity did not discuss politics, they were not included in the count of political leanings even if they had a history of being outspoken in the past. For example, actor Robert De Niro had a history of speaking out against President Trump, but was not included in the liberal count because politics did not come up.

In 2022 when Nick first counted the legal notes being delivered by ABC’s The View, we found that they were forced to issue exactly three dozen (36) of them. But they've offered zero legal notes in 2025.

That's despite the View crew unloading crazy accusations like Elon Musk had 300,000 children killed (due to USAID cuts) and he conspired to steal the 2024 election with Trump.
