NewsBusters Podcast: Trump Loves Orban vs. Biden Should Cater to Hamas

March 11th, 2024 10:24 PM

Why do left-wing journalists want Joe Biden to come to the aid of Hamas terrorists? They accuse him of overseeing Israel's "genocide," and he's not supposed to be upset. On MSNBC, Jonathan Capehart accused President Biden to his face of "overseeing and actively arming a genocide" (as a Muslim radical said to The New York Times). No "fact checkers" jumped in to challenge Capehart's cockeyed notion of "genocide."

NBC's Kristen Welker can pelt Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) with questions about Trump saying nice things to Hungarian "autocrat" Viktor Orban, and cartooning Trump into "talking about being a dictator on Day One." (He joked about being dictator for a day to Sean Hannity.)

But she worried Biden's so-called "full-throated support of Israel" will hurt Democrats in November. When's the last time Hamas held an election? Benjamin Netanyahu has been elected five times since Hamas last had a vote in 2006.

On ABC, George Stephanopoulos repeatedly insisted to Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) that she's endorsing a candidate who's been held "liable for rape" (in a civil court, with an accuser who doesn't know what year the alleged assault occurred). Mace fought back, but didn't point out that Bill Clinton was accused of rape, and that never slowed down Stephanopoulos. Clinton's accuser, Juanita Broaddrick, had a precise date and NBC found that Gov. Clinton was in the same hotel on the day of the alleged assault. This accusation had more proof than E. Jean Carroll could muster against Trump.

Why do they use the word "moderator" for people like Welker and Stephanopoulos? With Republicans, they are "debaters." For Democrats, they are "facilitators." The contrast is obvious to the discerning viewer.
