Liberal media outlets cannot stand the idea that President Biden bumbles. In a speech on Tuesday, Biden boasted "We ended cancer as we know it." The MRC Twitter account shared it:
Joe Biden: I said I'd cure cancer they looked at me like, why cancer? Because we can. We ended cancer as we know it.

But the formerly formidable Newsweek posted an article Tuesday night casting doubt on what was obviously said. The headline was hilarious:
Did Joe Biden say he ended cancer? Read the full transcript
A clip of the president supposedly claiming to end the disease has been spreading on Twitter, although the comment appears to be taken out of context.
Supposedly? This is like saying Biden "supposedly" said the Republicans were "Jim Crow 2.0." Even the caption said "A clip of the president has been spreading on Twitter in which he supposedly claimed to have 'ended cancer' during his speech." You don't need to "read the full transcript" to see what he said.
"Night Reporter" Kaitlin Lewis began her evening dispatch:
A clip of President Joe Biden supposedly saying he "ended cancer" has been spreading on social media in the latest jab from conservatives who repeatedly point out flaws in the president's speeches.
So it's a "conservative jab" to point out Biden bumbles. Never mind that the entire leftist media thrive on Trump over-boasting or mis-speaking. (You can Google "Newsweek Trump boasted" and see the results.)
Newsweek was mad that Rep. Lauren Boebert tweeted the clip and said Biden "lied." Newsweek said it was "misspeaking." Oh, like Biden claiming he had three college degrees and had a full scholarship to law school? The "fact checkers" pored over MRC video on that, too....but no "Pants On Fire" for Joe.
Newsmax host Chris Plante reposted a clip of Biden's speech, which was posted by the Twitter account RNC Research. Plante tweeted in response, "Brain dead Joe Biden said 'we ended cancer as we know it.' Did I miss something? I don't remember this breakthrough."
Conservative watchdog group Media Research Center also posted a video of Biden's speech, writing along with the tweet, "Fact-Check: Joe Biden has not cured cancer."
Newsweek reached out to the White House via email on Tuesday night for comment.
It is not the first time that conservatives have criticized the president for misspeaking during a national address, nor is it uncommon for Biden to slip up while speaking. Earlier this month, the account RNC Research also poked fun at Biden after he botched part of his speech about NATO membership while visiting Vilnius, Lithuania.
The American Cancer Society reports there were 609,360 cancer deaths in the United States in 2022 (my father was one of them). Everyone can root against cancer deaths. But politicians shouldn't be allowed to say they "ended cancer as we know it" without a fact check. Imagine thinking the media could evaluate the facts without fear or favor.
