Chris Cuomo lied to CNN about just how extensively he was helping his brother Andrew try to survive a wave of sex-harassment allegations. So he's been suspended "indefinitely," but Brian Stelter is already hinting it might just be a month. A Christmas vacation.
When Gov. Cuomo resigned in August, the CNN host claimed “I'm not an advisor, I’m a brother. I wasn't in control of anything. I was there to listen and offer my take, and my advice to my brother was simple and consistent.” But the documents show Chris was an aggressive adviser, bullying Cuomo's staff into taking his suggestions for what his brother should be saying. Chris parachuted in like he was the best lawyer in all of New York.
An adviser/brother could just as easily have said to the governor "Have you thought what your daughters will think of this? do you want this happening to them where they work?" He could have told his brother to grow up and treat women better. That's not what Chris did. He pushed to fight these accusers, tooth and nail.
