Since the news from Afghanistan has been so negative, critics on the Left have tried to suggest the media are far too negative with President Biden. One article in New York magazine even tried to argue "Why the Media Is Worse for Biden Than Trump."
Their questions are tough, but their coverage is still sympathetic. Politico reported Team Biden gave the Taliban a list of Americans and Afghan allies to help them get evacuated. Does that sound smart? Maybe not, because the media tried to ignore that story. Even The New York Times and The Washington Post didn't put that in their Friday newspapers.
There are hard-core Biden defenders, hailing his "courage" -- like MSNBC's Joy Reid and Claire McCaskill. James Carville decried the "stupid and hysterical coverage of the mainstream press has just been awful." This Clinton-didn't-love-her liar complained to Lyin' Brian Williams. They're quite a pair. But that's who Biden can count on.
