A year ago, we reported movie star Harrison Ford ranted and railed against the climate deniers while promoting a World Government Summit in Dubai. Now he's at it again while promoting his new movie Call of the Wild. “Our position in the world is tenuous because of our lack of moral leadership, basically,” he told reporters in Mexico City. All because we refused to lead the eco-socialist parade known as the Paris accords. [Hat tip: Breitbart]
Speaking slowly in a dull monotone like he was heavily medicated, Ford said
“I certainly applaud Greta… her activism, her role in representing the interests of young people, and I admire her courage, and her fortitude, and also admire her capacity to express herself."
As usual, the Left represents "Science" and are somehow entirely non-ideological.
“Science is being ridiculed by people in ideological campgrounds. They are refusing the wisdom, the discipline of science, in favor of a political point of view," Ford said. "And that has to stop. And I believe young people throughout the world know that it has to stop, and are capable and willing to make the sacrifices to make that happen.”
Liberals never find it creepy when actors say someone needs to stop expressing an opposing voice to the Left, silencing their opposition. Making liberalism or socialism sound exactly the same as "science" makes it easier to censor opposing views.
Ford concluded: "So I applaud young people. I applaud Greta’s part in the leadership of young people and I consider the threat to the natural world as the single biggest threat to humanity.”
He also said “They are a moral army and the most important thing we can do for them is to get the hell out of their way.”
It's fascinating that a movie star with no science degree is hailing the "wisdom" and "disclipline" of science in the same breath as he hails a 17-year-old high school dropout with no science degree. The "young people" Ford is touting have no scientific degrees. In that "ideological campground," as long as you're on the "right side of History," so you don't need to know all the science.
