Nets Ignore SHOCK Poll: 48 Percent Say Biden Not Mentally Fit to Be President

Just days after the networks relented and covered the latest poll finding Joe Biden’s popularity plummeting down to the high 30s, ABC, CBS and NBC on Wednesday returned to form and ignored a shocking new survey finding a plurality of Americans think Joe Biden is not “mentally fit” to be president and only 40 percent think he is “in good health.”

Despite a combined six hours of air time, ABC’s Good Morning America, CBS Mornings and NBC’s Today on Wednesday avoided the bad news for Biden. Politico/Morning Consult released their poll and here’s a summary of their findings:

Voters have increasing doubts about the health and mental fitness of President Joe Biden, the oldest man ever sworn into the White House, according to a new POLITICO/Morning Consult poll.

Only 40 percent of voters surveyed agreed with the statement that Biden “is in good health,” while 50 percent disagreed. That 10-percentage-point gap — outside the poll’s margin of error — represents a massive 29-point shift since October 2020, when Morning Consult last surveyed the question and found voters believed Biden was in good health by a 19-point margin.

Asked whether Biden is mentally fit, voters are almost evenly split, with 46 percent saying he is and 48 percent disagreeing. But that negative 2-point margin stands in stark contrast to Biden’s numbers last October, when voters believed he was mentally fit by a 21-point margin.

Back in September, Biden froze as he forgot the name of Australia’s Prime Minister while talking to the UK's Boris Johnson and Australia's Scott Morrison. The confused President stumbled, “Thank you, Boris and [pause] I want to thank that fella down under. Thank you very much, pal.” The networks, of course, skipped it.

Now, it’s not like the networks didn’t hype polls finding Trump irrational or possibly unstable. In an October 26, 2021 study I wrote for NewsBusters, I noted that on the August 2, 2017 CBS Evening News Chip Reid trumpeted, “62 percent of Americans say the President is not honest. Seventy-one percent say he is not levelheaded.”

On the September 27, 2017 CBS Evening News, Dean Reynolds used a different Quinnipiac survey to announce: “57 percent of voters disapprove of Mr. Trump’s handling of the job. Fifty-six percent find him unfit to serve, and 51 percent say they are embarrassed to have him as President.”

The networks are doing their best to hide the unrelentingly bad new for Biden, whether it's on his competence or his popularity. But as is becoming increasingly clear, their strategy isn't working.

ABC hiding more bad news for Biden was sponsored by Starbucks. CBS doing it was sponsored by Progressive insurance. NBC censoring the story was sponsored by Nature Made. Click on the links to let them know what you think.
