The women of The View on Monday offered their latest conviction of Brett Kavanaugh, declaring him “guilty” and suggesting that impeachment is next, should the judge be confirmed to the Supreme Court. Last week, co-host Joy Behar proclaimed Kavanaugh “probably guilty.” On Monday, she’s dropped the “probably.”
Hypocritically, co-host Sunny Hostin lamented Senate Republicans who have already made up their mind: “It’s Lindsey Graham saying whatever she says won’t change my vote.” She angrily lectured, “If you have a jury trial and you have a juror that says, ‘I don’t care what the star witness says, that won’t change my vote,’ that juror gets thrown off the jury.”
A few seconds later, Behar reminded viewers that her mind is made up. She said of a potential confirmation: “He’ll be in. They’ll get their way and then we’ll find out the guy is guilty. What good is that?” The liberal host seethed, “Then you’ll have to impeach a Supreme Court justice.”
Last Wednesday, Behar offered a variation on this conviction: “[Republicans] are protecting a man who is probably guilty. If you're not, Judge Kavanaugh, take the lie detector test.” Behar spat, “Or are you a coward?”
In regard to Trump’s nomination of Kavanaugh, Behar on Monday mocked, “In the words of the great Chris Rock, ‘Crack head go with crack head.’”

11:07WHOOPI GOLDBERG: There’s now a second woman who's come forward accusing SCOTUS nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct. She told Ronan Farrow it happened when Kavanaugh was a freshman in college.
...
JOY BEHAR: It’s touching how he stands behind anybody who has been accused of sexual assault. It’s moving. Roy Moore, now this guy. It warms your heart.
SUNNY HOSTIN: It’s been consistent.
BEHAR: In the words of the great Chris Rock, “Crack head go with crack head.”
HOSTIN: What has been really disconcerting to me is not only this President saying those things even before she’s testified. It’s Lindsey Graham saying whatever she says won’t change my vote. It’s Mitch McConnell saying things. Mitch McConnell is saying, “In the very near future, Judge Kavanaugh will be on the United States Supreme Court.” He said that over the weekend. You know — If you have a jury trial and you have a juror that says, “I don’t care what the star witness says, that won’t change my vote,” that juror gets thrown off the jury. Why are these senators still on the Judiciary Committee? That’s absurd to me.
BEHAR: These guys — there were rumors about this second accusation last week.
HOSTIN: Yes!
BEHAR: And then Lindsey Graham and McConnell come out and say, “We’re going to ram it through. We’re going to plow it through.”
HOSTIN: They wanted to push the vote through even though they heard about this second accusation.
BEHAR: Yeah, because they figured they’ll push him in. He’ll be in. They’ll get their way and then we’ll find out the guy is guilty. What good is that? Then you’ll have to impeach a Supreme Court justice.
