Al Sharpton to Interview Michelle Obama

As the President continues to sink in the polls, his advisors apparently think it's wise for him and his wife to seek refuge amongst their closest supporters in the media.

On Wednesday, Al Sharpton announced via Instagram that Michelle Obama will be his radio guest Thursday on his National Action Network:

As Mediaite pointed out, it's not clear whether or not parts or all of this interview will be aired on Sharpton's show on MSNBC.

However, given recent calls for Sharpton and/or his MSNBC producer to be fired as a result of deceptive edits of a Fox News video clip involving Bill O'Reilly, one would think the Administration would want to steer clear of this huckster.

On the other hand, President Obama wasn't at all deterred from appearing on this farce of a so-called "news network" despite the recent high-profile dismissals of Alec Baldwin and Martin Bashir, the latter for suggesting someone should defecate in former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin's mouth.

What's that they say about judging people by the company they keep?
