With all the coverage of Nelson Mandela's death along with the harsh winter weather hitting many parts of the country, last Friday was a big news day.
Not for CNN's Anderson Cooper who had his worst ratings of the year bringing in only 255,000 total viewers.
In the all important demographic of folks aged 25 to 54, Cooper only garnered 58,000 sets of eyeballs.
As Deadline reported, these were not just his worst numbers of the year, but also his poorest showing since moving to the 8PM time slot in August 2011.
By contrast, Fox News's O'Reilly Factor had 2.4 million total viewers and 447k in the demo.
Piers Morgan also had a horrible showing Friday with only 252k total viewers and 56k in the demo. This was his second-worst performance of the year.
This compared to Fox News's Kelly Files with 2.3 million total viewers and 355k in the demo.
All in all, this was the third-worst primetime showing for CNN this year.
Jeff Zucker must be so proud.
