We're beginning to learn a lot more about National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden.
For instance, it was discovered Monday that Snowden supported Ron Paul for president last year.
An examination of Federal Election Commission records finds the following:
SNOWDEN, EDWARD
COLUMBIA, MD 21045
DELLPAUL, RON
VIA RON PAUL 2012 PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN COMMITTEE INC.
03/18/2012 250.00 12951941678
The Guardian's report on Snowden said he worked for Dell.
Another Paul contribution from Snowden occurred two months later:
SNOWDEN, EDWARD
WAIPAHU, HI 96797
REQUESTEDPAUL, RON
VIA RON PAUL 2012 PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN COMMITTEE INC.
05/06/2012 250.00 12952514893
By this time, Snowden was working for defense contractor Booz Allen Hamilton in their office based in Hawaii.
What's interesting about this final contribution is that in May it was already a fait accompli that Mitt Romney was going to win the nomination. In fact, he got enough delegates to do so on May 29.
As such, Snowden was at that point throwing good money after bad.
