There are times when I really think I live in different country than liberal media members.
Take Al Sharpton for example who in his most recent Lean Forward ad for MSNBC said that America isn’t living up to the Pledge of Allegiance’s creed of “One nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all” (video follows with transcript and commentary):
AL SHARPTON: We must have a renewed fight for many of the things we fought for because voting rights, and women’s rights, and the rights of people against discrimination - whether they’re African-American, Latino, lesbian and gay – must be protected until we have a nation that is really living up to the creed of “One nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all” – not all of one kind, but all.
Whatever happened to that post-racial America we were guaranteed if Barack Obama was elected president.
The way folks on MSNBC tell it - especially Sharpton - we're more racially divided today than we've been in decades.
Why might that be?
Readers are advised that this ad has been around for a few months. As NewsBusters' managing editor Ken Shepherd observed in February, Sharpton chose to omit "under God" from his "Pledge" reference.
Why might that be?
