Last Wednesday, NewsBusters publisher Brent Bozell spoke at the Heritage Foundation about his new book co-authored with NB senior editor Tim Graham, Collusion: How the Media Stole the 2012 Election and How to Stop Them From Doing It in 2016. As they pulled back from the microscopic day-by-day examination of liberal media bias and reviewed the big picture, Graham and Bozell saw the larger pro-Obama narrative the liberal media weaved in the presidential campaign. "What we saw in 2012 was beyond what we [thought we] were going to see" when they started researching the book, the Media Research Center (MRC) founder noted.
The media were simply and utterly "shameless" with "no attempt whatsoever" to actually cover the campaign in an objective fashion and they're bound to try the same in 2016. And so, "[i]f the Republican Party doesn't understand that [neutralizing liberal media bias] is its number one priority to do something about it, it will never come out of the weeds, and that's why I wrote the book," Bozell concluded.
