After watching a montage of mainstream media journalists defending the TSA's invasive pat-down procedures as practically essential to preventing airline terrorism, NewsBusters publisher Brent Bozell argued it'd be a far different story if those procedures had happened under the Bush administration.
"Imagine the same reporters reporting that story if George Bush had instigated these [TSA pat-down] policies," NewsBusters publisher Brent Bozell argued on the December 2 edition of Fox News Channel's "Hannity."

"When he had eavesdropping on terrorists, they went bananas about invasion of privacy," the Media Research Center (MRC) president noted, referring to warrantless wiretaps that the media complained about under George W. Bush's watch.
Numerous other topics were discussed on last night's popular "Media Mash" segment, including former ABC News reporter Jami Floyd calling former governor Sarah Palin (R-Alaska) an "ass" on MSNBC's Jansing & Co. program.
"If you were to say something like that about Barack Obama, you would get the lecture you always get from those same reporters about the need to be civilized, and to be civil, but the gloves come off with Sarah Palin. They hate this woman," Bozell noted, predicting that the attacks on the potential GOP presidential candidate would ramp up in 2011.
Another topic discussed: ABC's bias by omission as reporter Claire Shipman failed to tell her "Good Morning America" audience that a woman she presented as a victim of the GOP holding up an extension of unemployment benefits was a professional activists for liberal Democrats.
"This is sheer dishonesty, and we've caught the media doing this time and again," Bozell noted.
