"You have to wonder, Sean, what planet our friend Matt Lauer is living on right now," NewsBusters publisher Brent Bozell quipped after watching a clip of the "Today" show co-host all but urging President Obama in an interview to be tougher by "pushing back" against Republicans in the remaining weeks before the November midterms.
"Barack Obama has done nothing but blame George Bush for everything that goes wrong with Barack Obama's agenda ever since Barack Obama starting running for president in 2008, and nothing's changed," the Media Research Center president noted during the "Media Mash" segment on the September 30 "Hannity."

What's more, Bozell added that Lauer's NBC network and its sister networks have been keen on "pushing back" against conservatives by boosting Obama, especially in the past week:
Matt Lauer suggests that Barack Obama needs to push back. Let me tell you, the pushing back is coming from NBC on behalf of Barack Obama. Think about this for a second, several days before that interview aired, you had CNBC air a one-hour townhall meeting on behalf of Barack Obama. Then you had a 30-minute commercial-free infomercial in effect for Barack Obama that ran not just on NBC but on Bravo, Oxygen, Chiller, Sleuth, CNBC, USA radio, Syfy, the Universal HD Network, Universal Sports, all part of the NBC conglomerate. And now, you have PSAs that are running on NBC on behalf of Barack Obama's education plan.
And they call themselves a news network. They are doing nothing but campaigning for Barack Obama.
Other topics included the media's spin about Obama's "glory days" tour campaigning in reliably liberal Wisconsin, where liberal senator Russ Feingold is fighting for his electoral life, and ABC "This Week" host Christiane Amanpour's complaining that Americans just don't appreciate Barack Obama's legislative accomplishments.
