Anybody want to talk College B-Ball? Or my amazing Sharks? Are we heading for another Celtics-Lakers final?
Below the fold, NBer Caringwhiteguy raises an interesting question about FSU's Myron Rolle:
Much is being made of the accomplishments of Myron Rolle, defensive back at Florida State. He is taking his final interview for a Rhodes Scholar position today in Alabama. He will then private jet to Maryland to join his team for its game against the Terps. My question concerns the arrangements, both logistical and financial to get this kid from Alabama to Maryland. In these times when a booster can't buy an athlete a pack of gum at the 7-11 how are they pulling this one off? I know that schools have paid for kids to go home on bereavement, but can't think of much else FSU could do in this instance. Rolle seems to be a young man of tremendous character, talent and intellect, but these arrangements seem just a bit odd. Any thoughts?
