ACLU Confesses Its Tweet of White Kid with Flag Shows 'White Supremacy Is Everywhere'

Only the conservative media care about this one. According to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and their triggered supporters, a white blonde haired toddler in a onesie and carrying an American flag is the picture of “white supremacy.”

On August 23 at 4:49 PM, the ACLU's Twitter account tweeted a photo with the caption “This is the future that ACLU members want.”

It was an obvious reference to freedom of speech, since the child was wearing a onesie that said "Free Speech." However, when a few snowflakes got triggered online, they caved. Since when did patriotic little white children holding the Stars and Stripes become symbolic of “white supremacy?”

At 5:26 PM, "Nyasha Junior" complained "A White kid with a flag?!" (Notice the activists capitalize the races, that there are "Whites" and "Blacks"?) And so the ACLU, which promotes itself as America’s “guardian of liberty,” which works to “defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties that the Constitution and the laws of the United States guarantee everyone in this country,” quickly backtracked.

At 5:39 PM It responded by tweeting: “When your Twitter followers keep you in check and remind you that white supremacy is everywhere.” Even inside the ACLU! The tweet included a GIF of Kermit the Frog saying, “[t]hat’s a very good point.” Nice to know they relied on Kermit to get the message out.

Of course, being the kind of organization that the ACLU is, they clarified that it wanted babies wearing ACLU onesies: “PSA: The future we want is babies in ACLU onesies. For more cute ACLU babies, follow us on Instagram!” That's ironic, considering how active the ACLU is in pushing for untrammeled "abortion rights."

This isn’t the first time the ACLU posted a photo of this nature.  Last month on its Instagram page, they posted photos of a brunette baby – one picture where the baby wore a “free speech” onesie, and another photo where the baby wore a “Women’s March” onesie.

The ACLU has also taken some heat from its supporters when they initially showed support for First Amendment rights of alt-right groups, including the recent demonstrations in Charlottesville. So they might be extra-sensitive to leftist complaints right now, no matter how reflexive and politically correct it makes them look.
