'You Can't Be That Stupid!' Enraged Scarborough Attacks Trump Voters

October 26th, 2020 8:55 AM

Urgent page for Mika Brzezinski! A few months back, you called a timeout for husband Joe Scarborough, taking him off the air for two weeks to presumably let him heal his fragile psyche. Mika, you've got to get poor Joe back to his safe place, STAT!

On today's Morning Joe, a pitifully frazzled Scarborough lashed out at Trump voters. His face contorted in an enraged snarl [see screencap], Scarborough screamed at backers of the president. Saying "you can't be that stupid!", Joe was furious that people continue to support the president. They must all be QAnon-conspiracy freaks and Facebook mouth-breathers. He was enraged that the president mocked Reuters reporter Jeff Mason for wearing a mask.

JOE SCARBOROUGH: By the way, it's, it’s really remarkable that you are thinking about voting for that man. Really it’s staggering.

You get information from Facebook that says that Anthony Fauci’s in some secret cabal that’s going to make billions of dollars on a vaccine. That’s just a lie. You can’t be that stupid. You say it’s no worse than the flu, it’s — no. Donald Trump himself in February, it’s on tape. So please get off your stupid QAnon sites. Get off your stupid Facebook sites. Turn your head away from whatever TV station's telling you this is just like the flu... And they know the guy they’re supporting is a liar! And they know he is putting Americans’ health at risk every day, Rev. And yet they vote for him anyway.

A few minutes earlier, Scarborough was raging against White House chief of staff Mark Meadows for saying you can't control the pandemic. Does it look like it's being controlled in Europe right now? But Scarborough just took the least charitable interpretation:

He's willing to let people die because that's what Donald Trump wants him to say. Mark Meadows doesn't care if you live or die from the pandemic because he just cares about following the president's advice. He says we can't control the pandemic. Really? You can! You -- but if you're part of a white house operation that sends people out and has super spreader events every day, and then, Mika, what they did this past weekend.

By the way, you look at all of the events that they're shoving people together.  And then they're mocking Jeff mason for wearing a mask? Actually not only are you not working to contain the virus, you're actually working to actively spread the virus.

Joe, here's a pro campaigning tip -- you're not going to turn Trump voters around by calling them morons.

And backers of the president should be encouraged by Scarborough's meltdown. If everything Joe was hearing from inside the Biden campaign sounded rosy, he wouldn't be pushed into paroxysms of rage in a [counter-productive] attempt to tear people away from President Trump.

Joe Scarborough's ugly attack on Trump voters was sponsored in part by Ninja Foodi.
