On MSNBC, De Blasio Calls for Nationalizing Industries to Stop Virus

Hard-core socialists aren't letting a national emergency go to waste. They want to exploit it to realize their ultimate dream: government ownership of the means of production--the very definition of socialism.  On Joy Reid's MSNBC show this morning, Bill de Blasio, the extreme-left mayor of New York City, actually proposed the:

"nationalization, literally a nationalization, of crucial factories and industries that can produce the medical supplies that can prepare this country for what we need."

Far from pushing back at de Blasio's shocking proposal, Reid inquired whether it was true that the State of New York itself was producing hand sanitizer. Looks like that along with guarding against the virus, we need to be vigilant about the extreme left trying to get its socialist nose under the tent of the American economy.

Here's the transcript.

BILL DE BLASIO: Here's reality. This is a war-like situation. We're in a wartime scenario --

JOY REID: Yes.

DE BLASIO: -- with Mar-a-Lago attitude being used by the federal government, right? It's so laid back. And I don't understand it. And by the way, testing? How about ventilators? Where is the federal government making sure that our hospitals have the ventilators we're going to need? Where is the federal government when it comes to surgical masks? Getting them distributed where they're needed.

This is a case for a nationalization, literally, a nationalization of crucial factories and industries that could produce the medical supplies to prepare this country for what we need.
