There was a surprising exchange on Friday's Morning Joe between Mika Brzezinski and Jonathan Swan of Axios. The upshot: Mika found Brett Kavanaugh's anger to be authentic.
Brzezinski twice stated her agreement with Swan's view that "if you did believe you were innocent of what he's been accused of, not being angry would not seem natural."
Note also Swan's opinion that Kavanaugh's anger was "not manufactured" to please a "party of one," meaning President Trump.
Here's the full exchange.
MIKA BRZEZINSKI: Is there any evidence that the White House and Brett Kavanaugh are connecting on strategy? Because I hear a lot in the media yesterday about this is what the President wants. He did what the President wants. Do you really think the President is pulling the strings on Judge Kavanaugh's approach and strategy in the middle of these hearings?
JONATHAN SWAN: I don't think that yesterday's anger was manufactured to -- I've heard people say 'audience of one.' Just as a viewer, it seemed if were, if he did believe he was innocent of what he's been accused of, not being angry would not seem natural.
BRZEZINSKI: I know. Yeah. I kind of agree with you on that. I kind of agree with you on that.
