Both of Comedy Central’s favorite comedians took the time on their shows on June 11 to make fun of upstart conservative congressional nominee David Brat for his Christian faith while subtly hinting at a strain of anti-Semitism in either the Virginia Republican himself or the GOP voters of the 7th District which chose him over Majority Leader Eric Cantor.
In fact, both Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert mocked the exact same clip of Dave Brat claiming that his unexpected victory was “a miracle from God” and then made jokes about him beating Eric Cantor, the “only Jewish Republican in Congress.” For good measure, Colbert found a clever way to tag another Republican with a phallic epithet without actually using the term. Clearly these liberal comedians are willing to reuse material on their consecutive shows if it means insulting a Christian conservative.
“We get it. You beat a Jewish guy. We get it,” shouted Stewart, a comedian who himself happens to be Jewish. A half hour later, his faux-conservative counterpart, Colbert – who is a practicing Catholic and loves to remind folks of that – showed the clip and deadpanned, “Yes, Brat’s victory was a miracle from God.”
The anointed successor to David Letterman then proceeded to essentially call another Republican congressman a dickhead, without using the actual words.
“Now that Cantor is out we're going to need someone to appeal to the Jewish community,” Colbert quipped, adding, “Looking at you, Louie Gohmert. Or should I say you, Louis Gohmberg. Let's call him Mohel and circumcise that head.”

STEWART: Wow. I love the sentiment, although, a certain supreme court might disagree with you, but I like the cut of his jib. What else you got there, fella.
BRAT: Luke 18:27. Jesus replied, "What is impossible with man is possible with God."
STEWART: Did not see that coming.
BRAT: This is a miracle from God that this happened. We believe in God who gave us this miracle today. I love every single person that God made on this planet.
STEWART: We get it. You beat a Jewish guy. We get it. Fine. We're not as chosen as we thought we were. Okay? You know what's interesting, though? What's interesting about the Jewish people, if I may, is that if we had achieved a victory like this election, the next day, that would be a new Jewish holiday. That would be... We'd have eight days and we'd come up with some type of potato-onion thing to eat, and kids, kids would hate it. So what strategy did God use there to defeat the pro-life, Obamacare-repealing, president obstructing, debt ceiling, default risking, tax loophole embracing, government shut downing Eric Cantor?

The liberal media is already jumping on the Tea Party candidate, claiming immigration reform would be “dead” with his electoral victory and pushing his Evangelicalism as a disqualifying factor.
