During President Biden’s inauguration Wednesday, the networks repeatedly reminded Americans of the horrible violence from Trump supporters two weeks ago, storming the Capitol over the election results. But, overnight, violent leftists took to the streets, rioting in at least two different cities in “protest” over Biden’s election, and the networks couldn’t care less.
The violent riots happening in Seattle, Washington, and Portland, Oregon from far-left activists garnered less than a minute of coverage from the networks; just 30 seconds from CBS and 20 seconds from NBC, on their Thursday morning shows. These two networks refused to label the groups as Antifa even though the protesters chanted "Antifa," were dressed in black bloc in the networks own reports, spray-painted anarchist signs and behaved much like we’ve seen these radicals behave this past Summer:
ANTHONY MASON, CBS THIS MORNING: Anti-police demonstrators greeted the inauguration of president Joe Biden with violent protests in the Pacific Northwest. They burned an American flag and broke windows at the federal courthouse in Seattle. Others in Portland, Oregon carried a sign reading "We don't want Biden, we want revenge." They smashed windows and painted graffiti at the state democratic headquarters. Witnesses say Portland police appeared to respond with teargas and stun grenades. At least eight people were arrested.
...
CRAIG MELVIN, TODAY: Protests in Portland Oregon, turned violent Wednesday as a group of 150 people marched through the streets. The group carrying anti-Biden and anti-police signs. Some smashing windows, spray-painting anarchist symbols at the headquarters of the Democratic party of Oregon. Eight people were arrested. Another protest in Seattle also led to three arrests.
According to Andy Ngo, some activists also attacked a police officer and overturned a car. Antifa also showed up in Denver, Colorado, where they burned an American flag outside of the state Capitol building.
ABC’s Good Morning America filled their two hour show nearly entirely with gooey reports gushing over everything Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, from their families, their pets, celebrities who adore them and showcasing childrens’ “hopes and dreams” for the new administration. Reporters even had nice things to say about Biden issuing a flurry of executive orders. But absolutely nothing to say about violent leftists protesting his election.
According to the New York Times’ sympathetic report:
Protesters in the Pacific Northwest smashed windows at a Democratic Party headquarters, marched through the streets and burned an American flag on Wednesday in a strident challenge by antifascist and racial-justice protesters to the new administration of President Biden, whose promised reforms, they declared, “won’t save us.”
... Earlier in the day, a group of about 200 people — a mix of racial justice, antifascist and anarchist activists — marched to the local Democratic Party headquarters, where some of them smashed windows and tipped over garbage containers, lighting the contents of one on fire. “We don’t want Biden — we want revenge,” said one sign, referring to killings committed by police officers.
Tell ABC's advertisers Hyundai and Jergens at the Conservatives Fight Back page, that they should cover violence from all sides.
