Anti-Trump MSNBC host Joy Reid is so eager to prove Trump colluded with Russia to win the election, that she will say just about anything to make it true. The AM Joy host embarrassed herself last Friday in a tweet where she claimed that two of Trump’s wives just happened to be from “Soviet Yugoslavia.”
Donald Trump married one American (his second wife) and two women from what used to be Soviet Yugoslavia: Ivana-Slovakia, Melania-Slovenia.

The blatant xenophobia aside, Czechoslovakia was not part of Yugoslavia, and neither were in the USSR@JoyAnnReid https://t.co/HGFs6egEY1

Czechoslovakia was in the Warsaw Pact (not in the USSR). Yugoslavia was not, & famously had on-off relations with the Soviets.

Basic history
Sorry, but what is Soviet Yugoslavia? You do know that Yugoslavia had poor relations with USSR? Yugoslavia was not in the Eastern block.

Ignorance, allied with power, is the most ferocious enemy justice can have.” - James Baldwin #AMJoy #reiders
This tweet came just a day after Reid again failed to “fact-check” the right. On her show AM Joy July 20, a guest brought up the Clinton Foundation’s use of donations from an uranium mining company. While even the left-wing media, from The Guardian to The New York Times have called out these donations as, at the very least, suspicious, Reid shut down the story as having no merit. “That is a completely false claim peddled by many on the right!” Reid stated to her guest.
Reid has made a long career of attacking Republicans and conservatives. She frequently accuses the right of racism, even blaming Trump voters for only voting to “hurt brown people,” and turning America into “Nazi Germany.”
