The vile, bigoted MSNBC host Joy Reid flung another smear against the Republican Party during Thursday night’s The ReidOut. During a discussion about the ongoing hoax in the leftist media that Florida is teaching children that slaves benefited from slavery, the racist MSNBC host cried to faux Republican Michael Steele that “you can't even say slavery was bad now in the Republican Party.”
This whole conversation started over Reid’s attacks against Florida Republican Congressman Byron Donalds who Reid falsely claimed didn’t criticize the Florida education standards strongly enough and was forced to back down. She first lied that he was encouraged to run for Speaker “because he was black.”
Then she cried “He's a black man from Florida, and tried to mildly criticize the slaves benefited from slavery thing. And this isn't even Trump saying it. It was DeSantis's policies.”
“He got mowed down like the lawn,” Reid boasted before maliciously adding “You can't even say slavery was bad now in the Republican Party. That's how far it’s gone. And that's not even Trump who had the policy, it was DeSantis.”
Reid obviously is unaware that the Republican Party was founded in opposition to slavery and fought the Democrat Party tooth and nail to abolish slavery.

7:51:33 p.m. EasternJOY REID: It's an ideological shift. To your point, if the person who’s the nominee, let's say it's Chris Christie, the whole Trump base will stay home. So they can't win numerically because the Trump base won't vote unless you are loyal to Trump and declare fealty to him. And then if he is the nominee, you can't win either because all the normies will be like we can't vote for him, he stole classified documents and did January 6. And here’s how far the party has gone. Byron Donalds. Who allowed somebody to rub him on the head. Which to me was—
MICHAEL STEELE: That’s another conversation–
REID: A whole nother conversation. But also claim they were gonna make him Speaker, although that was then disputed later by his supposed sponsor, admitting, no, we just wanted him because he was black. He literally came out. He's a black man from Florida, and tried to mildly criticize the slaves benefited from slavery thing. And this isn't even Trump saying it. It was DeSantis's policies.
STEELE: Right. Right.
REID: He got mowed down like the lawn.
STEELE: Yes.
REID: Because you can't even say slavery was bad now in the Republican Party. That's how far it’s gone. And that's not even Trump who had the policy, it was DeSantis.
