On Wednesday afternoon, a bombshell whistleblower report alleged that then-Vice President Joe Biden was involved in an influence-peddling and bribery scheme. The whistleblower who reportedly had inside knowledge regarding sensitive FBI documents, went to Iowa Republican Senator Chuck Grassley with the scoop. Grassley subsequently turned the information over to House Oversight Committee Chairman Jim Comer (R-TN).
The three evening news broadcasts unsurprisingly ignored this stunning revelation in favor of false smears of former Fox News host Tucker Carlson (ABC), and the news that Jamie Foxx broke his silence after being hospitalized (CBS and NBC).
The news was so shocking that Fox News Channel’s Special Report lead with the story at the top of the broadcast. “House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer claims the FBI likely has a document describing this alleged criminal activity involving then Vice President Joe Biden. Comer has issued a subpoena for the purported document,” senior national correspondent Rich Edson reported.
Edson revealed that the whistleblower document “includes a precise description of how the alleged criminal scheme was employed as well as its purpose.”
Comer, after learning of this allegation, officially sent a subpoena to the FBI for more information. “The subpoena gives the FBI one week until noon next Wednesday to produce forms containing the word Biden from June 2020,” Edson revealed.
Meanwhile, over on NewsNation’s The Hill, correspondent Joe Khalil revealed another interesting tidbit about the serious crime Biden had been accused of.
Within the FBI documents, according to Khalil, “there is a claim that someone made that then Vice President Biden accepted in some form of a bribe, money from a foreign national who was trying to influence the policy of the Obama-Biden administration.”
This was obviously a bombshell, to put it mildly, and if anything even remotely close to this was alleged against a Republican president this would be covered around the clock on every news outlet in America. We know this because every preposterous allegation against former President Trump was treated seriously by the leftist news media. No matter how asinine the claim ultimately turned out to be.
This bias by omission from the three networks was made possible by Prevagen on ABC, Vicks on CBS, and Angi on NBC. Their information is linked.

6:00:56 p.m. EasternBRET BAIER: But, first, breaking tonight, allegations that then Vice President Joe Biden was involved in an influence-peddling scheme. It's a stunning allegation that raises a number of questions. Who is the whistleblower making this claim? Is that person credible? And what are authorities doing about it? The White House says the President has an unprecedented level of transparency and calls this a political attack. Senior national correspondent Rich Edson is here with our top story. Good evening, Rich.
RICH EDSON: Good evening, Bret. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer claims the FBI likely has a document describing this alleged criminal activity involving then Vice President Joe Biden. Comer has issued a subpoena for the purported document. He and Senator Chuck Grassley have been investigating the Biden family and their business conduct. They sent a letter this afternoon to Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Chris Wray claiming, quote: ‘A highly credible whistleblower maintains the Justice Department and FBI likely have a form that, quote: Describes an alleged criminal scheme involving then Vice President Biden and a foreign national relating to the exchange of money for policy decisions. It's been alleged that the document includes a precise description of how the alleged criminal scheme was employed as well as its purpose. It's unclear who the whistleblower is. The specifics of their allegations or if this document even exists.
SEN. CHUCK GRASSLEY (R-IA): We have credible information that this possible criminal activity took place and I can't verify whether or not it's really criminal activity but I do have faith in the whistleblower.
EDSON: Grassley added he has a rough idea of what’s in the alleged document. The White House has just responded, quote: ‘For going on five years now. Republicans in Congress have been lobbing unfounded, unproven politically motivated attacks against the President and his family without offering evidence for their claims or evidence of decisions influenced by anything other than U.S. interests.’ The subpoena gives the FBI one week until noon next Wednesday to produce forms containing the word Biden from June 2020. The U.S. Attorney's office in Delaware is also weighing charges against Hunter Biden in a federal investigation that began in 2018. Bret?

5:29:23 p.m. EasternBLAKE BURMAN: Some news this afternoon as two top Republicans have now subpoenaed the FBI for a document that an unmanned whistleblower. They say claims that the then Vice President Joe Biden was involved in a criminal scheme as they put it with a foreign national. News Nation’s Joe Khaleel is on capitol hill. Joe, this broke this afternoon. What is this all about?
JOE KHALIL: Yeah. So this is a bombshell allegation, obviously, Blake, but I do want to be very clear and upfront with our viewers right now at this point, it is simply that: an allegation. So here's what we're able to confirm. Somebody, a whistleblower with some kind of knowledge with FBI documents went to Senator Chuck Grassley's office.
And basically said within these FBI documents, there is a claim that someone made that then Vice President Biden accepted in some form of a bribe, money from a foreign national who was trying to influence the policy of the Obama-Biden administration. Now, this whistleblower again brought these to Senator Chuck Grassley, as you know, Blake, Republicans in the Senate don't have a majority and therefore cannot issue a subpoena. So what the Senator's office did is hand this information over to the House side, to the chairman of the House Oversight Committee, Jim Comer because Republicans in the House, as you know, do have a majority, and can issue a subpoena. That is exactly what the chairman did today issuing one to the FBI basically asking for this one document that explains this claim. They want to know more. And frankly, we as we report this, our sources and lawmakers themselves, there's a lot that they don't know that they want to find out.
In fact, part of Senator Chuck Grassley's letter says here and we'll put it up on your screen for you here. He says, quote. ‘What we don't know is what, if anything, the FBI has done to verify these claims or investigate further. The FBI's recent history of botching politically charged investigations demands close congressional oversight.’ So that too guys is a pretty loaded claim there from Senator Chuck Grassley. I just want to leave you with one more thing I've been talking to my sources today. Republicans in the House have been wanting to flag for some time now suspicious activity when it comes to the banking records of President Biden and of his son. I'm told today they ruled that out. This, whatever this thing is, is not related to those investigations. They're to be entirely separate issues. So that is what we know right now. Obviously, still guys trying to learn quite a bit more about this.
