DELUSIONAL: MSNBC's Ruhle Claims A Lot of Culture Wars Made Up By GOP

May 2nd, 2023 12:40 AM

On MSNBC's The 11th Hour, host Stephanie Ruhle made the laughable claim that most of the cultural issues being waged in society by the left are simply invented issues. It's not clear if Ruhle believes that many public schools in the United States are a figment of parents' imagination or that it is a made-up controversy by the GOP. Either way, it's a pants-on-fire false claim by Ruhle.

Turning to GOP strategist Mike Murphy, Ruhle noted the recent news that Biden is “reportedly making a move we haven’t seen yet. He's gonna go hard on to culture war issues that Republicans like to lead with like book bans.”

Ruhle then asked for Murphy’s thoughts and falsely claimed “a lot of them are invented issues.”

Murphy tried playing both sides by claiming “half the issues in politics, now, unfortunately, are invented. Both sides kind of invent these wedge issues to put the other one on defense.”

“They're trying to set up their pressure, on those voters, to not accept the Republican nomination,” Murphy claimed. “They want an extreme battle against Donald Trump. That’s what they’re praying for. And they’re equipped for that. And I think they probably win it.”

“But that doesn't mean Biden is that secure in this. So he needs all the wedge issues he can find.” Murphy added.

To be clear, not only are these culture war issues like book bans, Critical Race Theory, or transgender issues not made up, they weren’t even started by conservatives. The left forced these issues on innocent children and once sane parents stood up and began to fight back, leftists like Ruhle started crying that the right is waging culture wars on made-up issues.

STEPHANIE RUHLE: Michael, President Biden's team is reportedly making a move we haven’t seen yet. He's gonna go hard on the culture war issue that Republicans like to lead with like book bans. What are your thoughts on this? Because a lot of them are invented issues.

MIKE MURPHY: Well, yeah, but if you pull on that thread the whole sweater goes away. Half the issues in politics, now, unfortunately, are invented. Both sides kind of invent these wedge issues to put the other one on defense. So, if you're Biden looking at suburban voters and independents knowing they don't like you very much, a lot of your campaign, which can see in that web ad they released is you don't like me look at the other people. And you know, it's always a choice. So, they're trying to set up their pressure, on those voters, to not accept the Republican nomination. They want an extreme battle against Donald Trump. That’s what they’re praying for. And they’re equipped for that. And I think they probably win it. But that doesn't mean Biden is that secure in this. So he needs all the wedge issues he can find.
