LEGACY STENOGRAPHY: Media Uncritically Parrot Biden Flack on Alleged 2014 PSA Test

May 21st, 2025 9:49 AM

It appears that the legacy media have learned nothing from the release of the Hur tapes, and the release of Tapper/Thompson’s “Original Sin”. Faced with former President Biden’s devastating cancer diagnosis, and with the choice between investigative journalism or stenography, the media continue to choose the latter.

Of these, of course, the most Biden-sycophantic nightly newscast remains ABC World News Tonight, loyal to the bitter end. When faced with a statement from a Biden spokesperson declaring that Biden’s last PSA test was in 2014, ABC chose to report it credulously, and with the type of soft patina reserved for celebrity news.

DAVID MUIR: We turn now to the other news this Tuesday night. We have new reporting tonight on former President Biden's prostate cancer diagnosis. The former president's spokesperson revealing late today the last time the former president was tested for this. Here's our Chief Washington Correspondent Jonathan Karl.

JON KARL: Tonight, as former President Biden battles incurable stage 4 prostate cancer, his spokesman revealed the last time Biden got a PSA test for the disease was more than ten years ago, in 2014. The spokesperson saying, quote, “prior to Friday, President Biden had never been diagnosed with prostate cancer. It was Sunday the world learned that the former president has cancer, and that it has spread to his bones. Biden is 82 years old, and medical experts say PSA tests are not typically recommended for men older than 70. Among that age group, when prostate cancer is found, it is often serious.

CURT DeVILLE: I would say on average, if I see patients at this age, it's a common scenario that they're diagnosed with advanced disease, because very often their PSA was no longer being checked. They were no longer undergoing screening.

KARL: One question many are asking tonight: should presidents be tested more frequently? The White House says President Trump, who is 78, had a PSA test last month. While stage 4 prostate cancer is considered incurable, it can be treated and it can be managed. President Biden is in Delaware with his family, weighing those treatment options, David.

MUIR: Of course, cancer has touched so many families across this country, and so many people pulling for the former president. Jon, thank you.

ABC took the Biden flack’s statement and stretched it out to a minute and a half by splicing related analysis from the oncologist interviewed by Rachel Scott the day before. There is no questioning anyone from Team Biden about whether their principal was tested by any other means at any time since his last PSA, administered while he was Vice President of the United States.

After the ongoing news cycle, dominated by a book about a Biden camp that lies with impunity, the media continue to be willfully blind á la Sandra Bullock Bird Box.

NBC didn’t do anything hard hitting with the press release either, but they had the decency to not stretch it into a gauzy story. Instead, it was tacked to the back of Gabe Gutierrez’ D.C. roundup:

LESTER HOLT: And Gabe, another story we’re watching, you are getting new details about former President Biden's prostate cancer diagnosis.

GABE GUTIERREZ: Tes, Lester. A Biden spokesperson now says his last known PSA blood test, used to detect prostate cancer, was 11 years ago. Oncologists say it's not typically recommended for men over 70, but questions have been raised about why the cancer wasn’t detected sooner. Lester.

HOLT: All right. Gabe, thanks.

CBS Evening News, continuing to reel from the departures of Bill Owens and now Wendy McMahon and struggling to find itself after botching its revamp, did nothing on Biden’s PSA. Nothing on Evening News Plus either, despite an interview with the aforementioned Jake Tapper.

The legacy media, appearing to have learned nothing, choose to remain as loyal stenographers to the once and former Biden Regime, even at this late hour that calls for the performance of actual journalism.
