WINNER (41 percent of the vote)
Mika Brzezinski Attacks “Backwards, Un-American” and “Sick” Trump Immigration Policy
“Are, again, we going after the worst of the worst, or are we just going after people to create a level of fear out there where laws can be broken, people can be detained for months, and children have to show up alone for the detention hearings? The list goes on as to how backwards, un-American, and sick this is.”
— Co-host Mika Brzezinski on MS NOW’s Morning Joe, August 25.
SECOND PLACE (34 percent of the vote)
Joe Scarborough: Are We Going to “Survive” Trump?
“You see what’s happened at the DOD. You see what’s happened at the Justice Department. You see what’s happened at the National Institutes of Health. All of these, all of these institutions that have been built up to protect Americans and to extend American power and safety across the globe – being torn down brick by brick, piece by piece, by this Trump Administration. And the question people have is, are we gonna survive?”
— Co-host Joe Scarborough on MS NOW’s Morning Joe, August 24.
THIRD PLACE (25 percent of the vote)
Kristen Welker: “Are Republicans Trying to Scare Voters” About First Muslim Senator?
“There is no evidence that [Abdul] El-Sayed supports any terrorist organization. I just want to read this. A Washington Post analysis online found that, quote, ‘nearly one in three posts about El-Sayed from right-wing figures mentioned Islam, Muslims, or sharia.’ Are Republicans trying to scare voters based on the fact that El-Sayed would be the first Muslim senator?”
— Moderator Kristen Welker to Sen. Tim Scott on NBC’s Meet the Press, August 23.
Thanks again to all who participated!
