Donald Trump’s win was a repudiation of the policies of Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, so now he should put them in his cabinet? Co-host Sunny Hostin suggested exactly that, on Thursday’s edition of The View.
Hostin was disappointed that Trump loyalists like Rudy Giuliani and Chris Christie were being considered for positions in Trump’s cabinet. Instead, Hostin pushed 2016 liberal losers Clinton and Sanders: “I really hope that he’s going to consider having people that oppose him, having people like a Bernie Sanders, having people like a Hillary Clinton.”

The following is a transcript of the relevant portion from the November 10 edition of ABC’s The View:
SUNNY HOSTIN: If you look at a President Obama who, you know, Hillary Clinton and President Obama went head-to-head and toe-to-toe, he made her his Secretary of State. Lincoln did the same thing. He had his counsel of people who disagreed with him. I hope that unlike what we’re hearing in the press that we’re going to see [Rudy] Giuliani as attorney general, Chris Christie or Ben Carson.
JOY BEHAR: Homeland Security, they’re looking at Giuliani for.
HOSTIN: I really hope that he’s going to consider having people that oppose him, having people like a Bernie Sanders, having people like a Hillary Clinton, having a checks and balances on his team like a President Lincoln.
BEHAR: I would love that but I don’t know that, that’s going to happen. Because he’s already talking about Newt Gingrich being his secretary of state. I mean talk about an old face. We’ve seen this man for years.
