Charlamagne tha God is currently in round two of temp hosting Comedy Central’s The Daily Show and while he has had his moments of partisan even-handedness, he was experiencing the holiday blues on Wednesday as he implored President Biden to “give America the ultimate Christmas gift and step aside” so that Democrats may have a better chance of defeating Donald Trump.
After playing a clip of Biden saying he is not the only one who could defeat Trump an exasperated Charlamagne reacted, “Oh, my god. This is Biden's ego talking. Okay, if you think there are other people who can beat him, step aside, all right?”
Moving into full despondence, Charlamagne urged Biden not to repeat another recent mistake from another prominent liberal:
I know you think you've got this in the bag. I know he thinks he's got this in the bag, but the polls say otherwise. I want Biden stepping in to beat Trump the way I want him stepping into defeat me at a bar fight. I appreciate you caring, but I don't like our chances! The point is, we don't need Biden to beat Donald Trump, just like we didn't need RBG to stay on the Court, okay? Maybe if RBG had retired during the Obama years, we’d still have Roe v. Wade. Maybe. But people said, no, she needs to be there to protect Roe, and now look, both of them are gone.
Concluding, Charlamagne added, “See, the facts are, Biden is not getting any younger. He's not going to get any more popular and he is not getting a new running mate. So, please, Mr. President, give America the ultimate Christmas gift and step aside.”
It’ll be a gloomy Christmas at Comedy Central because Donald Yetter Gardner’s class of second graders has a better chance of finding their two front teeth than Biden stepping aside and as for an election between Biden and another Donald, liberals should ask themselves if making Trump a martyr was worth it.
