You say "Jeb Bush," Thomas Roberts says "the Kouachi brothers."
It's got to be one of the strangest political Rorschach test results of all time. On today's Morning Joe, Roberts claimed that Jeb Bush would have a "big onus" around his neck if he runs for president "because if we hear 'Bush' we're automatically going to go to people bringing up the Kouachi brothers and their photos of Abu Ghraib that radicalized them about Iraq."
Roberts was straining for a certain political equivalency. He claimed that both Jeb and Hillary would have those "big onuses around their necks." Jeb for the reason cited, and Benghazi in the case of Hillary. Hello? Can Roberts not see the huge difference between Hillary's situation, in which she was the sitting Secretary of State during the Benghazi fiasco, and Jeb being the brother of a president in office during the Abu Ghraib affair?
If Jeb does run, how many people outside the MSM or the furthest fringes of the liberal fever swamp will attempt to pin Jeb to Charlie Hebdo?
THOMAS ROBERTS: Don't you think both have big onuses around their necks because if we hear 'Bush' we're automatically going to go to people bringing up the Kouachi brothers and their photos of Abu Ghraib that radicalized them about Iraq. Or we're going to get into Benghazi because of Hillary Clinton.
