How far left is frequent Ed Show guest Mike Papantonio? The class-action lawyer has criticized AG nominee Loretta Lynch for being too business-friendly.
On Schultz's show today, Papantonio was asked to comment on the possibility that Ted Cruz would block Lynch's confirmation should President Obama issue executive amnesty. According to the lefty lawyer, once Cruz and other Republicans "get the memo" from Wall Street on how Lynch supposedly lets white-collar crime flourish, they will change their tune.
For good measure, Papantonio suggested that when it comes to going easy on white-collar criminals, Lynch would be following in Eric Holder's footsteps. Yeah, that's the problem with the Obama admin: too business-friendly ;-)
MIKE PAPANTONIO: I gotta tell you. This is a woman who's great for Wall Street. It's almost like Ted Cruz didn't get his memo. She may be an effective activist when it comes to civil rights issues but she's nothing more than a retread of Eric Holder where it comes to sending Wall Street white-color criminals to prison. So it's tough to understand the story. My bet is that in about a week Wall Street is going to be burning up phone lines to the Republican political mouth pieces telling them to let Loretta Lynch replace Holder so Wall Street can continue the same corruption we have seen for six years. So some of these Republican simply don't understand who this woman is. Once they get the memo, once they connect the dots I think we may see a difference with the attitude of Republicans and Loretta.
