Now that the publicity stunt by Texas Democratic lawmakers who fled to Washington, D.C. to boycott that state's election security laws backfired, with six of them testing positive for COVID-19, the Latino nets are doing their best to erase them.
After the news of the fiasco broke through, the previously heralded heroes and saviors of voting integrity and justice for both Univision and Telemundo somehow morphed into anonymous aides, officials and advisors to be referred to indirectly and in passing.
Watch as anchors and reporters from both networks save face for the reckless super-spreaders - –they exposed members of the Congress and the White House staff with the virus- who appear to be saved from any guilt by being “fully vaccinated”, as if that would make things any different:

The Delta variant is advancing unchecked in the United States and already accounts for 83% of cases, including a White House official and an adviser to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
At Univision, anchor Ilia Calderón limited her input on the subject to 4 seconds with “Infections are reported in the White House and in Congress.” Following their competitor´s cue, at Telemundo, reporter Rogelio Mora-Tagle kept references to “an aide from Nancy Pelosi´s team and another from the White House.”
Probably without wanting to, Univision´s Edwin Pitti, doing his best to keep the Democratic lawmakers´ fiasco away from the news, had a slip of the tongue when he solemnly stated that “White House Press Secretary Jan Psaki herself confirmed that an official who was vaccinated tested positive for the coronavirus after going to a party with a senior adviser to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.” Goes to show just how hard the law-breaking bunch from Texas is working over in DC, at the expense of their constituents.
