Spanish-Language Media Now Fine With Citing The NY Post

December 29th, 2020 5:45 PM

It wasn’t long ago that Spanish-language media ignored the explosive report on Hunter Biden’s dealings, as published by the New York Post and censored by tech giants Facebook and Twitter en route to stealing the 2020 election for Joe Biden. That was then. Now, these same outlets conveniently amplify The Post’s “Stop The Insanity” editorial.

Watch as Telemundo rediscovers the Post and runs identical reports hyping the editorial:

JULIO VAQUEIRO: President Trump is increasingly alone in his quest to deny his electoral defeat. Now, the New York Post, one of the media outlets most supportive of him, lashed out at the president.

[...]

REBEKA SMYTH: And, President Trump is increasingly alone in his determination to deny his defeat in the past election. Now the New York Post, which is one of the media outlets that supported him the most throughout his term, lashed out against the president himself.

[...]

VAQUEIRO: The newspaper notes that he is so angry and so obsessed with his defeat, that he threatens to destroy his own presidential legacy.

[...]

SMYTH: The newspaper notes that he is so angry and obsessed with his defeat that he threatens to destroy his own legacy.

[...]

VAQUEIRO: The newspaper, which is owned by Rupert Murdoch, writes on its cover, there you have it: Mr. President, let us stop this madness.

[...]

SMYTH: The newspaper, owned by Rupert Murdoch, headlined its front page, as you can see on-screen...

[...]

VAQUEIRO: And, inside, it accuses him of encouraging a coup d’état.

[...]

SMYTH: ...and in the inner pages accuses him of encouraging an undemocratic coup.

It is noteworthy that in just two news reports adding to one minute and six seconds, about the New York Post cover calling on Trump to 'stop the insanity' and concede´, Telemundo News spent almost the same TOTAL time awarded by the Hispanic media to the Hunter Biden laptop scandal – one minute and 14 seconds.

As MRC noted in October 2020; “We went back and compared coverage of two stories on Univision and Telemundo: the New York Post’s bombshell on Hunter Biden’s laptop versus The New York Times’ incendiary story alleging that President Donald Trump paid $750 in personal federal income taxes (referred to heretofore as Trump’s Taxes Part II). We found that the networks covered Trump’s Taxes II a whopping 24 times as much as they covered the NYP Hunter Biden bombshell over a period of two weeks after each story respectively broke.

At the liberal Latino media in the U.S., there is increasingly only one side of the story: the one that fits their political agenda. Call out on advertisers like Colgate that enable such bias. Write them here.
