The insistence of so much of the media in portraying President Trump as ‘anti-immigrant’ for championing previously broadly bipartisan border security and immigration law enforcement policies has hit a new low, with Spanish-language Azteca America’s hair on fire report on the new ad that has just been authorized by the President for his 2020 re-election campaign.
As Azteca sees it, the ad – featuring construction scenes of border wall prototypes and immigration law enforcement operations, along with the President standing alongside the families of victims of crimes committed by criminals unlawfully present in the country – amounts to a “redoubled offensive against immigrants.” The phrase “controversial video insults immigrants” also rolls on screen during the report.
ROBERTO RUIZ, ANCHOR, AZTECA AMERICA: But look, Trump also redoubled his offensive against immigrants. With the consent of the chief executive, the Donald J. Trump for President movement posted a video on YouTube that prepares the re-election campaign. The images feature Luis Bracamontes, a Latino who said he was proud of murdering two policemen. The rhetoric strengthens the proposal of building the wall, deporting Hispanic criminals, and stopping illegal immigration.
Azteca America once again deliberately and deceiptfully clumps all immigrants, both lawful and unlawful, together and portrays the entire U.S. immigrant population as one that is targeted by Trump for persecution.
The new Trump 2020 re-election campaign ad, titled “Complicit”, points out that Democrats who now oppose border security and enforcement measures they previously supported are complicit in the lawlessness and crime committed by the likes of Luis Bracamontes, who had been deported multiple times before murdering two California police officers.
Below is the transcript of the above-referenced segment, as aired during the January 22, 2018 edition of Azteca America’s Hechos Nacional Tarde.

TRUMP AD ANNOUNCER: President Trump is right — build the wall, deport criminals, stop illegal immigration now. Democrats who stand in our way will be complicit in every murder committed by illegal immigrants. President Trump will fix our border and keep our families safe.
