Liberal ESPN and CNN commentator LZ Granderson is getting a new gig, and will join ABC News as a contributor to provide, in the words of ABC News president James Goldston, “his perspective on politics, sports and pop culture across all of our shows and platforms.”
Granderson, who frequently appears as a panelist on Sunday’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos, will continue to serve as a senior writer at ESPN but will leave CNN and provide ABC News with another far left voice to offer opinions across the network.
Granderson is no stranger to controversy and has made numerous statements attacking conservatives as bigots. Below is a list of some of his worst comments so ABC News' viewers can know what they can now expect from him on a regular basis:
Insisted the 2016 GOP candidates looked like an “intolerant field”
On CNN, compared detractors of Michael Sam to the KKK
Shrugged off Obama lying about ObamaCare: “Every president is going to lie to you”
Agreed with Democrat Charlie Rangel that some in the GOP believe slavery isn’t over
