WATCH: MRC's Schneider Rips Apart Censorship with Pro-Free Speech Tech CEOs

EXCLUSIVE: MRC Free Speech America Vice President Dan Schneider emphasized the importance of supporting platforms that support free speech while at the 2024 Republican National Convention.

Schneider spoke to Truth Social CEO Devin Nunes and Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski about their free speech platforms and the heinous bias and censorship that pervades their Big Tech competitors. Schneider informed Nunes about an MRC Free Speech America study exposing major algorithmic bias at X boosting congressional Democrats over their GOP counterparts. After hearing this, Nunes emphasized that former President Donald Trump created Truth Social precisely to provide an alternative to pro-censorship platforms.

“I always tell people, President Trump didn’t need a new company, I didn’t need a new job, but we had no choice, but we had no choice but to build Truth Social,” Nunes said. He referred to Truth Social as a “beachhead” and promised that this was only the beginning of their efforts to create solid alternatives to Big Tech giants.

Three days earlier, the Media Research Center published a study that used Grok, the Elon Musk-owned AI chatbot, to analyze how the X algorithm treated different members of Congress. This study exposed enormous leftist bias on the platform.

“Visibility scores,” which determine whether an account gets boosted or de-amplified by the platform, massively favored Democrats. During the convention, Schneider alerted Nunes to the fact that X reserved its highest visibility score in the House for Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) despite her history of fomenting false and toxic content on her account.

In response, Nunes mentioned his time in Congress with the “pretty extreme” Waters. The former Republican lawmaker also committed to defending the free speech of those driven from other platforms: “All those people who have been canceled, we’re going to provide a home for them.”

Nunes wasn’t alone in calling out the Silicon Valley giants.

While speaking with Pavloski, Schneider went after Google, highlighting a recent MRC Free Speech America discovery about Google search results. “Doing a search for Donald Trump Presidential Campaign 2024, his campaign website does not appear in the first 100 results. “You do the same search for Joe Biden it's the number one search result,” he said. “We’ve been doing the searches for months now, it's the same. Google is burying not only Donald Trump but all the Republican presidential candidates during the primaries, but highlighting Joe Biden.”

Citing a Google whistleblower, Pavloski said that Google buried Rumble in search results to promote Google-owned YouTube. Pavloski denounced this choice as “monopolistic.” He said, “It's violating all antitrust rules and it’s just it is evil, it’s evil essentially it’s the roots of evil ”

Schneider strongly urged Americans to choose platforms that will not discriminate against them and push leftist narratives, “Use Rumble, not YouTube, use Tusk not the Google search engine, get an account at Old Glory Bank, its a bank based in Oklahoma and they’re not going to silence you.”
