The New York Post journalists who uncovered the Biden bribery scandal that broke the internet amid the 2020 presidential election spoke candidly with MRC Vice President Dan Schneider about Big Tech censorship on the latest episode of MRC UnCensored.
Schneider underscored the importance of what became known as the Hunter Biden laptop story as he characterized Breitbart Politics Editor Emma-Jo Morris (former New York Post editor) and prominent author and investigative journalist Miranda Devine as the new Woodward and Bernstein (the authors who exposed Watergate). During the interview, the two authors detailed how their work exposing then-presidential candidate Joe Biden’s role in his family business dealings became subject to relentless censorship by Big Tech platforms. “It was a very sophisticated operation,” Devine said, while Morris, addressing the widespread censorship, stated, “We never anticipated that.”

“You can’t downplay… the fact that the fourth-largest newspaper by circulation and the oldest newspaper in the country was censured by these unaccountable tech platforms and they did it two weeks before an election,” said Devine, whose book — Laptop from Hell: Hunter Biden, Big Tech, and the Dirty Secrets the President Tried to Hide — further delved into the findings of the laptop.
The ordeal began on Oct. 14, 2020, when Big Tech platforms — including Twitter (now X) and Facebook — blocked the spread of a NY Post bombshell report that exposed Joe Biden’s role in the shady business dealings of Hunter Biden. The findings, obtained through an abandoned laptop owned by Hunter Biden, directly contradicted Joe Biden’s year-long claim that he “never discussed” business dealings with his embattled son.
“They put the policy they use for child porn on the New York Post’s reporting,” remarked Morris in the interview, likely referring to Twitter’s decision to place “unsafe link” warnings to the tweets that linked to the report. Echoing Morris, Devine told Schneider that the story “has never been rebutted” and directly blamed the federal government for ordering the censorship of the laptop. “[The censorship] was done really at the behest of the CIA and the FBI,” Devine said. “The Russia collusion narrative was added about five days after the first story that we published by these 51 former intelligence operatives, mostly from the CIA.”
The infamous letter, blindly promoted by Politico, falsely labeled the explosive report as part of a Russian disinformation campaign. Strikingly, the letter was ordered by then-campaign surrogate Anthony Blinken. “We knew that letter was dishonest,” Devine added, saying that the letter was drafted in a desperate bid to help the Biden campaign escape potentially damning questions of corruption.
