A journalist who contributed to Daily Pakistan called for the genocide of Jews on Twitter. In a since-deleted tweet, journalist Mian Dawood said that “Jews are the real threat to humanity on Earth.”
Dawood included several hashtags and called for “another Hitler.” “May Allah Almighty Bless Another Hitler To Curb Jews,” his tweet read. The tweet was deleted.
Ian McKelvey, whose Twitter account is popular among conservatives on the platform, questioned why Dawood was allowed to post such content while a former President of the United States remained banned.
“Why does @miandawoodadv still have a Twitter account?” he asked. “He’s literally calling for genocide. Twitter seems to have a soft spot for anti-Semites. Also, how does Trump lose his Twitter account but Mian Dawood keep his?”
Donald Trump was permanently suspended from Twitter after the Jan. 6 riots. Twitter accused him of using his account to “incite” the riots.
“After close review of recent Tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and the context around them — specifically how they are being received and interpreted on and off Twitter — we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence,” the platform said at the time.
