WashPost: Facebook Policing ‘Anti-Black’ Speech More Than ‘Anti-White’ Speech

Even The Washington Post has called out Facebook for its new racial double standards.

Facebook “is overhauling its algorithms that detect hate speech and deprioritizing hateful comments against Whites, men and Americans,” The Washington Post reported on Thursday. This overhaul of Facebook’s moderation projects is “known as the WoW Project,” according to internal documents obtained by The Post.

The WoW Project “involves re-engineering Facebook’s automated moderation systems to get better at detecting and automatically deleting hateful language that is considered ‘the worst of the worst.’” This reportedly includes “slurs directed at Blacks, Muslims, people of more than one race, the LGBTQ community and Jews,” The Post explained.

In other words, Facebook has stopped seeing all races as equal. The platform all but suggested it's OK to express hatred against Whites, Christians, Americans and men, but not other groups. It’s exactly the way the left looks at the world — prioritizing so-called victim groups.

Facebook’s WoW Project may be a grim hint of America’s future by literally ranking the severity of insults based upon who is being targeted:

As one way to assess severity, Facebook assigned different types of attacks numerical scores weighted based on their perceived harm. For example, the company’s systems would now place a higher priority on automatically removing statements such as ‘Gay people are disgusting’ than “Men are pigs.”

Essentially, it’s ripped right out of George Orwell’s “Animal Farm,” where everyone is equal but some are more equal than others.

“‘We know that hate speech targeted towards underrepresented groups can be the most harmful, which is why we have focused our technology on finding the hate speech that users and experts tell us is the most serious,’ said Facebook spokeswoman Sally Aldous. ‘Over the past year, we’ve also updated our policies to catch more implicit hate speech, such as content depicting Blackface, stereotypes about Jewish people controlling the world, and banned Holocaust denial,’” reported The Post.

“The shift is a response to a racial reckoning within the company as well as years of criticism from civil rights advocates,” The Post acknowledged. Radical social justice organizations heavily pressured the platform in a massive boycott.

“To me this is confirmation of what we’ve been demanding for years, an enforcement regime that takes power and historical dynamics into account,” Color of Change vice president Arisha Hatch commented after reviewing the documents obtained by The Post. Color of Change is a far-left, Soros-funded racial organization.
