It’s no secret that Joe Biden’s presidency has been a nightmare in just about every aspect since it began. While that increasingly seems to be true, most hard-core progressives have stood by "Sleep Joe," even as our economy tanks and the social fabric of our country deteriorates.
But Stephen A. Smith is one of the few liberals who sees that Biden isn't fit to be Commander-in-Chief, and he wants this term to be his only term.
Smith made his comments on an episode of his podcast, “The Stephen A. Smith Show,” after watching Biden tumble to the ground at the recent commencement ceremony at the Air Force Academy.
"It’s just my personal opinion, that’s all it is. Take it for what it’s worth. Somebody’s gotta say it, so I’m going to say it. We need a new president in 2024. We need a new president," Smith said. "Let me be very, very clear about where I’m going with this. (Tripping) could happen to anybody. It’s not a big deal. I’ve tripped and busted my behind on several occasions, sometimes running up the stairs. It happens. It’s not the end of the world. It’s not evidence that he’s just not all there. But he is 80. He’ll be 81 by the end of his term, approaching 82."
It’s not the first time Biden has tripped either, as he infamously tumbled down the steps of Air Force One in 2021.
Smith further stated that anyone around Biden’s age shouldn't be in office, regardless of party affiliation.
I’ll say it…and I know this will make some people mad…but I just think someone 80+ years old is too old to be President.— Stephen A Smith (@stephenasmith) June 2, 2023

The ESPN analyst didn't say Biden should be removed from office, but called for Democrats to appoint someone else for the next election. If Smith had his way, former First Lady Michelle Obama would run, and even claimed she’d win in a landslide.
While we don’t know who will win the 2024 election, it's encouraging to see that even an ardent progressive like Smith knows and publicly acknowledges that Biden is not the right answer for our country.
