MRC’s Gainor Rebukes Media’s ‘PC’ Terrorism Coverage on FBN

MRC Vice President of Business and Culture Dan Gainor called out the media for their “PC” coverage of radical Islamic terrorism.

On February 7, Gainor appeared on Intelligence Report With Trish Regan, and analyzed Trump’s recent comments blasting the media’s “very dishonest” coverage of terrorism around the world.

Gainor argued that even when the media does cover an attack “they’re PC about it” and “they go out of their way to avoid the term ‘terrorism’.” He cited an MRC analysis which found that ABC, CBS and NBC substituted different words for “terrorist” at a rate of five to one.

Regan said “President Obama was also reluctant” to use the proper verbiage in describing terrorists “so you can see the two kind of go hand in hand.”

On February 6, the Trump administration produced a list of what it said were 78 terrorist attacks that were underreported by the media in an effort to back up Trump’s accusation that the media were “very dishonest.”
