Do you believe in life after Trump? Legendary songstress Cher isn’t sure she does, according to an interview with The Washington Post.

Post TV critic Hank Stuever not only lauded “our dear, sweet” Cher’s hugely successful, multi-decade career, but boosted her liberal politics in his entertainment article Nov. 27. Although he went on about the diva’s tour life and career history before getting to politics, the headline made it clear the direction would be anti-Trump.

“They always said Cher (and cockroaches) could survive the end of the world. Lately, she’s not so sure about that,” it declared.

Late in the article Stuever cites the famous “Cockroaches and Cher,” which prompts him to ask “What about now, with the end of the world constantly on her mind?”

“Not this one. I wouldn’t last through what [President Trump] could do. There’s no lasting. Not even me. Not even cockroaches,” Cher said.

Stuever brought up Cher’s tweets which are “fast and sometimes furious,” a fury mainly aimed toward Trump or the right.

“She tweets about her mood or her latest record...or, mostly, the sustained animus she directs at her sworn enemy, the current president of the United States,” but Stuever claimed “She’s not just another Hollywood liberal trolling the right.”

Boosting her liberal views he wrote, “Cher has done her homework, reading deeply on the history of fascism and nationalism. She takes in several newspapers and breaking-news alerts a day, tweeting out links with fresh outrage.”

Of course, the article didn’t cite any of her Twitter rants (or meltdowns). When Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy announced his retirement Cher freaked out saying the “Supreme Court will take away our rights!!...Some Americans could find themselves in internment camps!!”

She also panicked over the confirmation of Justice Brett Kavanaugh, complete with caps lock and emoticons galore.

But to the Post TV critic at least, that’s what it looks like when a celebrity “has done her homework.”
