Rapper Pitbull, also known as “Mr. Worldwide” in the music industry, referenced the darker side of his Cuban heritage in a glossed-over interview from September 2020 that's gained renewed interest on Twitter. The Cuban-American rapper/singer claimed that the current government crackdown to protect us from China virus reminds him of his family’s experience living through Castro’s communist takeover.
During the September 26 episode of “DrinkChamps,” a podcast on Hip Hop YouTube channel “RevoltTV,” the famous musician, Jennifer Lopez collaborator, and now historian with a dire warning for the world, explained to his hosts that he couldn’t shake the parallels between Fidel Castro’s communist takeover of Cuba and the coronavirus lockdowns. The rapper even admitted that Castro would be “hot” with envy at the world's governments' deceptive methods at gaining control.
About halfway through the interview, the conversation turned to Pitbull’s appreciation of his freedom as an American and he expressed his opinion that the COVID restrictions “smell” like Cuba’s implementation of communism that his family fled from.
He began by mentioning the way he thinks the government’s been starting to erode that freedom. He asked, “What are we talking about? A virus? Come on, folks. You gotta read the tea leaves, bro. The devil’s in the details.”
Clearly, the musician indicated he’s been a bit incredulous as to what the media, scientists and government have been saying about the virus. He began to offer his own view as to what it all really is. “Let’s call a spade a spade,” he stated, adding, “And the reason I can have this conversation is because my family comes from communism. They fled communism.”
Hmm, so COVID is a means of installing communism? Sounds paranoid, right? Perhaps. Either way, Pitbull explained that, as a child of victims of communism, he appreciates freedom quite a bit. “I look at freedom and I appreciate that shit .. When Castro took over everything — and I’m looking at what’s going on right now — the only person that’s hot … is Castro.”
By expressing that Castro is “hot,” he meant that the late commie is somewhere (presumably warm) down below, looking up and marveling at how the world governments got their people to give up their freedom. Pitbull added, “He’s goin’, ‘Y’all did it with a virus?! Shit! Y’all took over the world with a virus?'”
