Actor Chris Evans is clearly no fan of President Donald Trump – or his spelling abilities. The Captain America star recently took to social media to call out the “moronic” president over his latest spelling faux pas, prompting fawning liberal media to wonder whether he is, in fact, the real Captain America.
Cosmopolitan editor Shannon Barbour wrote about Evans’ latest move on Aug. 22, stating that Evans called out the president in the “most savage way.” Oh, that’s so cool. (Really though, that’s like high-fiving that one know-it-all student in class who won’t mind his own business. And to think, people wonder why there’s not a healthy respect for journalism these days.)
The president has had quite a few eventful days with all the Mueller-probe talk going around, and, in response, he has been combative on social media. But, with Trump’s latest tweet, Evans took issue with the spelling, not the content.
This time the president wrote, “Disgraced and discredited Bob Mueller and his whole group of Angry Democrat Thugs spent over thirty hours with the White House Councel, only with my approval, for purposes of transparency.” Hopefully, you weren’t too distracted by the message Trump was trying to convey to catch that glaring typo.
But if you were, Chris Evans jumped in to remind everyone that he does indeed have at least a fourth-grade reading ability, and that if he was back in elementary school, he sure would have nailed “counsel” in the annual spelling bee. Take that, Drumpf!
Evans replied to @realDonaldTrump, stating, “It’s ‘counsel,’ Biff. The word is ‘counsel.’” Instead of just sharing a polite spelling tip and leaving it there, the lefty celeb also took the opportunity to turn up the heat.
“I was trying to comprehend how in the world a man, even as moronic as you, can misspell a word he reads fifty times a day,” Evans tweeted. “But then it dawned on me, you probably only HEAR the word.”
He concluded his “savage” and downright soul-crushing tirade by saying, “You don’t read shit. And we all know it.” Alright, we get it, Chris. Is there some personal grudge you’ve been harboring? Or is this a part of jumping on the Hollywood bandwagon?
Anyways, it’s not news that there’s the occasional typo in Trump’s social media posts, or anyone’s for that matter. And heck, maybe the man wasn’t top dog at Wharton School of Business’ semi-annual spelling bee. So what? The real thing to see here is just how petty these liberal celebrities can get. Chris Evans getting personal over a spelling error is just another nice snapshot of liberal hysteria.
