Nightly Show Host Lauds Moronic #solidaritydildo

Why embrace your constitutional right to carry a gun and protect yourself when you can carry around a sex toy instead?

Earlier this week comedian Larry Wilmore announced he would be lending his support to UT students and their absurd movement, #cocksnotglocks. A group of students at UT decided to organize a protest in light of a newly passed gun law allowing students to pack some heat on Texas University Campuses.

The new law is set to begin August 1st of 2016 and will allow licensed holders to carry concealed handguns on the campuses. Protestors of the new law organized a Campus DILDO Carry in response to the law stating on their group’s facebook page:

The State of Texas has decided that it is not at all obnoxious to allow deadly concealed weapons in classrooms, however it DOES have strict rules about free sexual expression, to protect your innocence. You would receive a citation for taking a DILDO to class before you would get in trouble for taking a gun to class. Heaven forbid the penis.

The movement certainly did its job in attracting attention though, as it caught the eye of Wilmore. Wilmore was irate over the fact the new law will be so insensitively enacted on the 50th anniversary of the Charles Witman shooting that took place on a UT campus.

Wilmore responded, “Are you kidding me? That’s like using silver from ground zero to make commemorative 9/11 coins[.]” Like the protestors, Wilmore couldn’t wrap his mind around a state passing a law on our already constitutionally protected right to bear arms. Instead, he too, was more concerned over the fact the University of Texas Austin has a rule against openly carrying a dildo is considered obscenity.

According to Alternet, The Nightly Show host remarked, “[t]o be clear,…[y]our fake penis is not okay, but your overcompensating penis is.” Wilmore then went on to praise the students who brought giant dildos hanging from their backpacks to the campus. “This is gotta be the sexiest protest since the million manscape march,” Said Wilmore.

Wilmore went on to say, “we are in solidarity with you UT,” as he pulled out a pink “patented Nightly Show” dildo. Wilmore then instructed viewers to buy a dildo, attach a Nightly Show logo to it, and take a picture with it and include #solidaritydildo to lend support for the #cocksnotglocks movement on UT campuses. All of the dildo pictures will then be released next year when students will supposedly be marching in protest against the law.

The irony of all this absurdity is this is the same group of people constantly complaining about the rape culture on campus. Instead of actually protecting themselves, these female students would rather be armed with a dildo. Here’s to modern day self-empowerment and higher education.
