Isn’t it funny how anti-religion liberal elitists are so quick to blame Christianity when a Christian messes up, as if the failure to live up to an ideal is the ideal’s fault?
Yesterday HuffPost Live host Josh Zepps and guest, entertainment journalist Dayvee Sutton, commented on the continuing Duggar drama. According to a statement released by the Duggar family, the married man and father of four children recently decided to check himself into a long-term treatment center after being the subject of two major scandals this year.
Sutton claimed Gawker had leaked the location of the facility where Duggar will be receiving his treatment. The facility, known as Reformers Unanimous, is a Christian based addiction recovery program located in Rockford Illinois.
Sutton continued in the segment describing the “interesting” agenda of the facility and Josh’s supposed treatment. She said:
The interesting thing that was leaked about this, uh this facility is the agenda um and it’s really intensive bible study, church, and labor. They’ll, he’ll be working about nine hours a day um on different projects in the community and around the facility for free. So some people were online were joking is this is a Christian labor camp.
Sutton worried that between the labor and Bible study there would be no time for counseling to cure Duggar of his ailment. Host Josh Zepps added his two cents stating:
I mean forgive me for being cynical, but it sounds like he’s curing the problem with the cause of the problem, which is his crazy religiosity, and his puritanism and his sex negativity – all of which (chuckles) combine to his, his misdeeds in the first place.
Zepps made the illogical leap that Christianity is root cause of Josh molesting minor girls, becoming addicted to porn, being unfaithful to his wife, and having to check himself into a rehab facility. Sutton was quick to agree adding that suppression in the home was also to blame for his actions.
Zepps solution for curing Josh Duggar? Shipping him up to Seattle for some quality time with Dan Savage and “… see if that fixes him.” Because apparently Dan Savage would provide Duggar with a positive and healthy sexual prospective that would help him with his struggles.
Keep in mind Savage is an X-rated gay sex columnist known for calling people of faith “…rightwing bat sh*t fundamentalist conservative evangelical Christian pieces of sh*t.” and for giving sex advice in his column of “…the skeeziest sex practices known to man…”
Sutton agreed something like that would be better and healthier for Duggar than “Christian labor camp.” Advice on skeezy sex practices coming from a bigoted, anti-conservative, atheist is the preferred solution liberals have to offer a man in need of guidance for himself and his family.
Zepps ended the segment saying, “Ordinarily when someone’s life falls apart and they have to go into rehab I say I wish them all the best and I wish them a speedy recovery, but I really don’t give a crap about Josh Duggar.”
